Removing the religious training wheels

Tap, tap, tap. Is this thing on? Is anybody out there? Or perhaps I should ask, is there anybody IN here?

Christians claim Jesus lives inside of them, but sadly, I see many who “deny the power thereof.”

My understanding, from all of my Christian upbringing, scripture study, and 60 years on the planet, has led me to believe we aren’t really living up to what Jesus taught. He said we would do even greater things than He did.

I can’t be the only person to wonder why we’re still reading, sitting in church buildings, or praying in our prayer closets and totally missing Jesus’ point of ministering to people: feeding his sheep, clothing, and housing them.

I say it’s high time we start acting on our beliefs and understanding of Jesus’ words and help our brothers and sisters out, and that means, with our next human interaction, not just those we like or think will give something back to us.
